ANAS VIDEO: Judicial Council Names "Influenced" Judges...Gives 10 Deadline

Chief Justice Mrs. Georgina Wood, has given the ten High court judges involved in the latest judicial corruption scandal up to Monday September 14 to respond to her petition on their role in the scandal.

A most recent Bribery and Corruption embarrassment in the Judiciary; a result of pro columnist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has embroiled 34 judges who were gotten on camera taking fixes and blackmailing cash from defendants.

Despite the fact that 12 High Court judges were named, two of them; Justice Alhaji Mohammed Ahmed Mustapha and Justice Yaw Ansu-Gyeabuor have resigned by proclamation from the Judicial board.

The announcement marked by the Judicial Secretary Justice Alex B. Poku-Acheampong, said "the president's consideration has been attracted to this. In perspective of their status as resigned Justices, the two are not subject to the reprimand procedures gave under Article 146 of the 1992 Constitution."

Per the announcement, the Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Wood "as per Article 146 (3) would figure out if there is an at first sight body of evidence against" the ten High Court judges said beneath.

The announcement further included that "among the 22 Circuit Court Judges and Magistrates who were alluded to the Chief Justice to be managed as per Article 151 of the 1992 Constitution, two (2) have subsequent to April 1, 2015 been hoisted to the High Court. All things considered, they can't be brought under the procurements representing the Lower Court Judges."

"The Chief Justice has thusly re-presented the request against the two Justices (Justice Daniel Obeng and Justice Asmah Akwasi Asiedu) to the President for orders. "
