The Dilemma of Small Scale Miners

While trying to determine issues with Small Scale Miners in the country, the Minister of  Lands and Natural Resources, Peter Amewu is at present in a meeting with the Ashanti Regional Small Scale Mining  Association in Georgia Hotel, Kumasi.

This crisis meeting was booked therefore of the public interview composed by the Small Scale Mining Association in the region yesterday on the 18th of May, 2017 threatening to hit in the city in Ashanti if the government does not have any desire to give them the green light to proceed with legitimate exercises as small scale miners.Three days final proposal was given to the legislature to turn out with positive measures in accordance with their operation to enable them to work since they are not working illicitly. 

In as much as the mining is the wellspring of their work, they don't consider themselves alone yet the community and its surroundings they drew in their mining exercises.   Pictures and video confirm plainly demonstrated their social duties and loyalties to the communities they work,  to specify a couple as a major aspect of their exertion I saw School building, healing center, compact water offices, Police home thus numerous others. Some segment of the videos and pictures likewise demonstrates better than average recovery of lands after the extractions of the Gold.

While fighting for their right they have agreed to comply with rules and regulations from the government concerning small scale mining, even as at now the association has formed a task force group by the directives of the minister barely four weeks ago to stop those mining alongside the rivers, buffer areas and non mining areas and they are doing a wonderful work with police task force. Kudos to the the task force and the entire association for their prompt action following the directives of the minister and also taking a full responsibilities of their daily activities.
