Military storm Denkyira-Obuasi, residents held hostage – DCE

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Upper Denkyira West District Daniel Appianin has disclosed to Citi News that a group of military men have attacked Denkyira-Obuasi in the Central Region pounding occupants in the zone.



As indicated by the DCE, the military men had kidnapped of around 80 men while ladies and kids have been stayed outdoors in a congregation in the town.

This takes after the killing of one Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama in the zone on Monday.

The inhabitants supposedly asserted Captain Mahama, who at the time was not in military uniform, was a burglar and along these lines lynched and consumed him at Diaso, a residential community in Denkyira-Obuasi.

Mahama was sent to battle galamsey – Uncle

The late Mahama's uncle, Fred McBagonluri on the Citi Breakfast Show said his nephew was a piece of a security group sent to the town to battle illicit mining.
