The group of the late Captain Maxwell Mahama with the fifth Infantry Battalion (5BN) at Burma Camp in Accra is anguish stricken over his sudden passing.
News of his passing is accounted for to have sent his better half into trance state while close relations stay hopeless after the deplorable episode that happened at Diaso near Denkyira-Boase in the Upper Denkyira West District of the Central regionon Monday May 29, 2017.
At his loft at Burma Camp on Tuesday, associates were spotted shedding wild tears over his sudden destruction in the warmth of calls by his family in Bole in the Northern Region for equity to be conveyed through the capture of the suspects.
Close partners of the expired depicted him as an impeccable man of honor who released his obligations professionally as a pioneer and was not bossy towards subordinates.
As per the Minister of Defense, Captain Maxwell Mahama, who was pioneer of the unit itemized to a mining organization at Denkyira-Obuasi, was going to be elevated to a "Noteworthy" after he effectively sat his examinations fourteen days back before the appalling occurrence.

As per them, he was not wearing military uniform and due to late spate of outfitted theft in the town after inhabitants were assaulted a day before, the ladies called the Assembly man who composed the young of the town to lynch him.
A few supplications by the security officer such that he was not a criminal yielded no outcome as the furious inhabitants continued hitting him life undermining object including concrete pieces until he passed on.
The body has since been stored at the Dunkwa Government Hospital pending examination.
