Mou: “The fact that Pedro left Barça shows ambition”

Mourinho spoke to the press before his team’s visit to West Brom this Sunday. The questions were almost exclusively about one subject: Pedro’s signing.

The Portuguese seems very pleased with the Canary Islander’s arrival and explained why he wanted to sign him. “The fact that he was willing to leave a club where he had such a strong connection shows that he has ambition. I like that a lot”, said the luso, who admitted that he believed Pedro would stay at Barça. “watching how committed he was in his final games with Barça, I thought he’d stay there”.

Asked if he thought he had ‘robbed’ Man United’s signing, he answered to the contrary. “I don’t want to say that we won or United lost. This is Pedro’s moment to enjoy this new move”.

What he wouldn’t reveal was whether Pedro is going to feature this Sunday; “I don’t know if the signings are ready to play”, he concluded.
